Millnet is the UK’s leading independent provider of electronic discovery, e-disclosure and e-document services to the legal, financial and corporate sectors. Their clients represent a broad spectrum of UK and International law firms, investment banks, their advisers and their corporate clients.
John Redford, Vice Chairman of Millnet, explained why they are backing the new segregated cycle lanes:
As the Vice Chairman of Millnet Limited, I am proud of the growth of our team and business in London. We are one of the leading independent litigation support services companies in the UK and also operate a large hard copy business offering scanning, digital print and copying services to the legal and banking community. Our offices are in Scrutton Street, nested between the City and the rapidly expanding Tech City in Shoreditch.
Like many businesses in London, a fast growing number of our employees cycle to work. An even larger proportion or the team would cycle to the office if they felt comfortable and safe on the roads.
We value employee satisfaction, health, and freedom and that’s why we proudly endorse the plans outlined by TfL to create new segregated routes through the heart of the city. Both the proposed north–south and east–west routes will help us attract and retain the employees our business needs to continue to thrive.
These plans are good for business, for London and for all Londoners whether they cycle or not.
We believe the proposals will make London a more attractive place to build a business, to work and to conduct business. We also note strong evidence from cities around the world that more cycling increases spending in local retail businesses and lowers air pollution levels.
We support the plans and hope they can be delivered as soon as possible!’
